Squid Ink Restaurant, Looe, Cornwall

The Squid Ink wine list has been specifically selected for us by Castang Wine Shippers. It comprises a range of fine world wines as well as the award winning ‘Atlantic Dry’ from the local Camel Valley vineyard situated above the sunny slopes of the river Camel at Nanstallon in Cornwall.

Real ales currently stocked include ‘Doom Bar’ brewed by the Sharps brewery based in Rock, north Cornwall and named after the infamous sand bank at the mouth of the Camel Estuary and ‘Tribute’ and ‘Clouded Yellow’ named after the butterfly that migrates to Cornwall every year which is brewed by St Austell Brewery, an independent family brewer since 1851.

Our two local ciders, still and sparkling, are supplied by Cornish Orchards and are made just 3 and a half miles away. We also stock a local lager brewed by the ‘Wooden Hand’ brewery based in Truro Cornwall. These local drinks are additionally complemented by a range of international lagers and beers.

Castang also supply us with a selection of tailored after dinner drinks including ports, armagnac and calvados.

A range of traditional soft drinks are available in addition to a selection of locally produced drinks including apple juices from Cornish Orchards and organic ginger beer from Luscombe Farm in Buckfastleigh Devon. A Squid Ink summer fruit pitcher is also available made from a selection of local juices and Cornish sparkling water served with fresh fruit, herbs and ice.
