Purely Cornish

Since its launch in April 2006 Purely Cornish Deli in Looe and has established itself as the place to find an outstanding range of locally produced goodies with over a hundred different lines from Cornwall.

Andy Parritt and Ally Martin the owners have ensured a policy of supporting the small Cornish producer and try not to purchase from suppliers who sell to supermarkets. Situated in the 16th Century bakery in Looe the deli has a wonderful smell of cheese and olives with low oak beams and the original clome bread oven made into a feature of the shop. As added incentive to buy local there is a Food Miles loyalty card where the distance the produce has travelled to get to the shop has been calculated and customers are rewarded with points toward a discount; the closer to the deli the more points can be earned.

Andy and Ally have also expanded the business with a Farmshop Deli and Café at St Martin-by Looe. You can expect to find chutneys, jams, pickles, crisps, biscuits, a wide selection of cheeses, meats, ciders and wines and ‘Grandads’ famous locally grown vegetables and plants. Purely Cornish has a thriving online sales website where you can ‘pick your own’ produce which are then lovingly prepared into wonderful hampers and posted with your special greeting.
